Hi guys,
Appreantly few ST in UK are experiencing engine liners break down. This affects all unmodified and modifed cars. It had something to do with the tolerence of the Ford OEM liner parts. So try not to over rev your engine (7000rpm) or stress your engine over 6500rpm for period of time. It will drasticly shorten your engine life.
Cheers
Howard

"The test data logger recorded that the car had been running a constant speed of 158mph (corrected - not dash read out)) for several minutes – Engine temp had maxed at 112 deg C (corrected - not dash readout) when this happened.
Note: this test engine had covered in excess of 60K - hense the coke build up - One of the UK problem engine which did a similar thing had only done 1.5K while the other had done 24K"
