E55 AMG in stock form claim to do 0 to 60mph in 4.1 seconds; the quarter-mile (0-400m) in 12.5sec at 114 mph. It is no doubt a fast car. From experience a friend of mine's 2003 model ran 13.2sec in 0-400m so it is not as fast as the manufacture's claim. To match his speed from 60km/h to about 200km/h isn't impossible. But it's true that 200km/h or upward, the advantage of the gear ratio and all that 490+hp will really kick-in, the ST with 350RS will have to bow down to the mighty AMG. There will be no contest.
I think ST with 450~500bhp with the right gear ratio will do 10.7sec ~11.2sec @ 130+mph. My last R32 did 10.52sec @127mph at
Toronto Motorsports Park. ST will do even better with the 4WD. That would be fun..... and I think it's doable.
